1st Day Istanbul – Porto
Meet in front of Turkish Airlines check-in counter at Istanbul Airport's (International Departures) 3 hours prior to departure. After luggage, ticket, and passport procedures, depart for Porto on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1449 at 06:45. Arrive in Porto on local time at 09:45, where our waiting vehicle will take us on a city tour. Porto is the second largest city in the country, famous for its distinct architecture, colorful houses, and narrow streets. During the city tour, our first stop will be Boavista, known as a modern trade and business center. Next, we will visit Queijo Castle located on the Atlantic Ocean coast. From there, passing through the Foz neighborhood, an old fishing village at the mouth of the Douro River, we’ll head towards the Porto center along the riverbanks. Our route begins at Carmo Square, passing through the historic Lello Bookstore and Clerigos Church, then descending to Aliados Square. We will see Bento Station, São Francisco Church, Bolsa Palace, Porto Cathedral, Liberdade Square, Batalha Square, the city’s most famous shopping street Santa Catarina, Luis I Bridge, and Arrabida Bridge. Next, we visit Obidos, a small town that feels like stepping back in time. The residents still wear traditional costumes on some days, maintaining the town’s historic ambiance. With narrow streets, small churches, beautiful houses, and shops, it will be a memorable experience. Afterward, we continue to Lisbon.
