Istanbul - Bahrain
After meeting at Istanbul Airport, we fly to Bahrain with Gulf Air’s flight. Upon arrival in Bahrain, we continue to Shanghai with a connecting flight. We will spend the night on the plane.
Bahrain - Shanghai
Upon arrival in Shanghai, after passport and baggage procedures, we begin our city tour. We will visit the Bund area, where colonial-era buildings line the waterfront alongside modern skyscrapers, and the famous Nanjing Road. Then, we will make a panoramic external visit to the French Concession area, which features French architecture, and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the third tallest television tower in the world and the tallest in Asia, also known as the Pearl of the Orient. After the tour, transfer to the hotel and free time. For those who wish to continue exploring, we can recommend the Shanghai Pearls tour: Jade Buddha Temple, Yu Garden + Huangpu River Boat Tour. Participants on this tour will have the opportunity to see the Jade Buddha Temple, one of Shanghai’s important religious sites, and Yu Garden, a beautiful example of Chinese gardens. Shanghai - Luoyang
After breakfast, we check out from the hotel and head to the train station. We travel to Luoyang by high-speed train. Upon arrival, we begin our city tour of Luoyang. Luoyang is one of China’s oldest capitals and served as the administrative center of 13 dynasties for approximately 4,000 years. We will experience the atmosphere of ancient China with its narrow streets, traditional architecture, and historic markets. After the tour, return to the hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Luoyang - Xian
After breakfast, we set off for the Lunch Included Shaolin Temple + Longmen Grottoes Tour. We will visit the Shaolin Temple, considered the center of Kung Fu and the birthplace of Chan Buddhism (Zen Buddhism). Then, we will have the chance to taste vegetarian dishes preferred by Buddhist monks at a local restaurant near the temple. Afterwards, we go to the Longmen Grottoes, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Longmen Grottoes are one of the most important and impressive examples of Chinese Buddhist art, featuring thousands of Buddhist statues and inscriptions carved into the limestone cliffs along the Yi River. At the end of the tour, we return to our hotel. Then our transfer to the train station for our journey to Xi’an will take place. Overnight at our hotel.
Xian - Beijing
After breakfast, we set off for the Lunch Included Terra Cotta Tour. We will visit the museum of the Terra Cotta Warriors, known as the “Underground Army of Statues,” one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 20th century, created to protect the tomb of China’s first emperor, Shi Huang. The tomb and statues you will see in the Terra Cotta museum, which means “baked earth,” were inscribed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1987. Afterwards, transfer to the hotel. Then, a Xi’an city tour will be organized. During the city tour, Xi’an Ancient City Wall, Bell Tower, Muslim Quarter, and the Great Mosque are among the places to be seen. At the end of the tour, transfer to the airport. We will fly to Beijing on a domestic airline. Overnight at our hotel.
Beijing
After breakfast, we begin our Beijing city tour. We visit Tiananmen Square, where Mao Zedong proclaimed the People’s Republic of China, and which is remembered worldwide for the protests in 1989; and the vast and magnificent Forbidden City, consisting of 980 separate buildings and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After the tour, transfer to the hotel and free time. For those who wish to continue exploring, we recommend the Magnificent China Tour. On this tour, you will first have the opportunity to see the Temple of Heaven. The Temple of Heaven, built in the 15th century entirely of wood in a circular shape according to traditional Chinese architecture and said to have been constructed without using any nails, consists of three levels, each symbolizing a different image. Afterwards, you may continue to Hutong. On our Hutong tour, you will have the chance to explore the traditional Chinese neighborhood by bicycle. At the end of the tour, we also recommend our guests try the famous Peking Duck. Overnight at our hotel.
Beijing
After breakfast, we set off for the Lunch Included Mutianyu Great Wall and Summer Palace Tour. We will visit the Great Wall of China, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, whose construction began in 220 BC to prevent invasions from the north by Central Asian Turks. We will have lunch at a local restaurant. After visiting the magnificent Summer Palace Gardens located on the shore of Kunming Lake, we will visit the Pearl Cultivation Center, where we will witness China’s pearl cultivation. After the tour, we return to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Beijing - Shanghai
After breakfast, we transfer to the airport to fly to Shanghai. We fly with local airlines. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and then depart for the Lunch Included Suzhou Boat Tour. Known as the “Venice of the East,” Suzhou is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has a history of 2,500 years and has been one of the most important centers of China’s silk industry since the 900s. We will complete our tour, which offers magnificent scenery with interconnected waterways, traditional Chinese gardens, historic stone bridges, and narrow streets lined with traditional houses. After lunch, we head to our hotel in Shanghai. We recommend joining the Acrobatics Show. Overnight at our hotel.
Shanghai - Bahrain
After breakfast, we have free time until the meeting time determined by our guide. (Hotel check-out time: 12:00) You may explore the city as you wish. Afterwards, at the time set by our guide, we meet and transfer to the airport. After ticketing and baggage procedures, our flight begins.
Bahrain - Istanbul
In the early hours of the day, we arrive in Bahrain and transfer to our flight to Istanbul. Our tour ends upon arrival in Istanbul in the morning.
