1st DAY
ISTANBUL – BAKU
We meet at Istanbul Airport’s international departures terminal, three hours before the flight. After ticket, baggage, and passport procedures, we depart for Baku on Turkish Airlines flight number … Upon arrival in Baku, we leave the airport and begin our Baku city tour. We start our tour with İçeri Şeher (Old City), which was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000. After reaching the Old City, our first stop will be the Shirvanshah Palace, built in the 15th century by Ibrahim Khalilullah. Then we will see the Maiden Tower, with a history of 2,500 years, and the Juma Mosque among the main landmarks. We then complete our city tour with a panoramic view of the Bukhara and Multani Caravanserais. After the city tour, guests who wish may join the Azerbaijani Night with dinner, organized as an extra by our guide (50 EUR). After dinner, transfer to our hotel and free time to rest.
2nd DAY
BAKU
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join our extra tour to Gobustan & Haydar Aliyev Museum (70 EUR). We set off toward Gobustan, located 70 km south of Baku, the richest region of Azerbaijan in terms of archaeological remains and included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Gobustan, located near the Caspian Sea on the old Shirvan road, is also known as an open-air museum. This place provides important information about prehistoric and medieval societies, hunting, animals, and vegetation through its carved rocks and inscribed stones known throughout the world. The Gobustan Mud Volcanoes are located within Gobustan National Park, southwest of Azerbaijan’s capital Baku, and form one of the world’s largest mud volcano areas. This natural wonder is of great geological and touristic importance. Approximately 40% of the mud volcanoes in the world are found in Azerbaijan, and the most famous ones are in the Gobustan region. With nearly 300 mud volcanoes, this area attracts both scientists and tourists. After our tour, we visit the Haydar Aliyev Museum. Following the tour, return to our hotel and free time to rest.
3rd DAY
BAKU
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the Absheron Peninsula tour, organized as an extra by our guide (50 EUR). Among the main places we will visit on the Absheron Peninsula is the Ateshgah Architectural Complex, one of the three Zoroastrian temples in the world. This fascinating structure, whose fire has not gone out for centuries, is considered one of the main pilgrimage sites in Zoroastrian belief. After our visit to Ateshgah, we will visit the volcano nicknamed the “Land of Fire” by the famous traveler Marco Polo. The volcano covers an area of 65 hectares and has been burning for centuries due to natural gas rising from underground. After completing our boulevard walk, guests who wish may join the Caspian Boat Tour, organized as an extra by our guide (30 EUR). Then we head to our visit to Baku Green Market (Green Bazaar). The Green Bazaar offers a more authentic shopping experience unlike Baku’s modern shopping centers. Tourists can mingle with the local people here and find Azerbaijan’s traditional products in their most natural form. After our tour, transfer to our hotel and free time to rest.
4th DAY
BAKU – ISTANBUL
After breakfast at the hotel, check-out from the rooms. After free time until the hour determined by our guide, we transfer to Baku Airport and depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines scheduled flight. Upon our arrival in Istanbul, our tour ends.
