Istanbul - Rovaniemi - Tornio We meet our valued guests at the international departures terminal of Istanbul Airport at the time announced by our guide. After ticket, baggage, and passport procedures, we depart for Rovaniemi on Turkish Airlines. Upon arrival in Rovaniemi, we transfer by private vehicle to Santa Claus Village. At Santa Claus Village, which has been among the top 10 must-visit destinations for travel enthusiasts since 2008, you will have the chance to meet Santa Claus, take photos with him, and send postcards to your loved ones from Santa Claus’s post office. You will also have free time for shopping in a wide variety of stores, where you can find special and unique gifts to delight your loved ones. On the way, we will pick up our thermal clothing. (Overall, boots, gloves, wool socks). Accommodation at our hotel in Tornio. Afterwards, we will carry out our Northern Lights Hunt tour. Tornio After breakfast, we have free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Reindeer Farm & Husky Safari tour, organized by our guide and including lunch. Our tour begins with transfer to the reindeer farm. On this tour, we experience a short reindeer sleigh ride at the reindeer farm and receive a “Reindeer Driving Certificate”; then we will spend pleasant moments around the fire inside a traditional Lapland tent. In the continuation of our tour, we transfer to the husky farm, spend time with the cute animals of the cold season, learn how to handle the huskies in our own team, and enjoy a 3 km husky sled ride. After having lunch at our restaurant, we return to our hotel. Accommodation at our hotel in Tornio. Reindeer & Husky Safari Tour (Lunch Included): Adult: 325 €/person / Children 4–12: 245 €/person. Tornio After breakfast, we have free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Snowmobile Tour 1 Hour (1 vehicle/2 people) & Snow Experience Adult: 225 € / person, Child (4–12 years): 135 € / person. We depart for our snow safari tour, where we will experience a 1-hour ride on Lapland’s special snowmobiles. First, we will listen to our instructor’s instructions. Then, after a half-hour driving experience, we will take a photo break at the end of the trail. Afterwards, we will complete our experience with a half-hour return trail. After the driving experience, we will visit Snowexperience 365, which features ice sculptures, an ice slide, and an ice restaurant, as found in fairy tales. You can also take photos sitting at ice tables. Accommodation at our hotel in Tornio. Note: (Children up to 12 years old will take part in the snowmobile tour in a sled pulled by the staff member’s snowmobile.) Tornio - Rovaniemi - Istanbul After breakfast at our hotel, we transfer to the airport. We will take a short tour of Rovaniemi and have free time for some last shopping. Need to Know

Guests who wish may take the IceBreaker tour (icebreaker ship) as an extra tour. If not all members of our group participate, this tour may be conducted without a guide. Approximately one week before the tour departure date, our guide will call all our guests and provide detailed information about this tour.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS & IMPORTANT INFORMATION

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENT 

This trip is organized with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people.  If sufficient participation is not achieved, the final cancellation notification date is 20 days before the start of the tour. A tour canceled due to insufficient participation will be notified to you through your agency.

Your passport must be valid for 6 months from the end date of the trip and must not be more than 10 years old.

For destinations requiring a visa, the visa application must be submitted with the documents specified in the “Documents Required for a Visa” list that your agency will provide to you.

To avoid problems with customs police at the border of the country to be visited due to torn, worn, wet and/or otherwise damaged passports, such passports must be renewed; if the country applies visa requirements to citizens of the Republic of Türkiye, the relevant visa must be in the new passport. Otherwise, responsibility rests with the passenger.

As guests under the age of 18 traveling alone or accompanied by only one of their parents may be asked by the police officer at border entry and exit points for a document showing the joint consent of both parents, we recommend that our guests under the age of 18 and their parents pay special attention to this matter.

HEALTH

We do not believe you will encounter any health-threatening problems with meals served at good restaurants and hotels in the region. Nevertheless, we recommend that you be careful about eating and drinking when you are not with the group, consume only bottled water, avoid ice, milk and dairy products, eat meat and fish products that you are sure have been thoroughly cooked, and choose fruits such as bananas and pineapples that can be peeled. Current vaccination/PCR rules must be followed when entering the country and returning home.

EXTRA TOURS & ACTIVITIES

Extra tours and activities are organized by the local agency from which we receive services, with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people, and participation is not compulsory. If sufficient numbers are not reached, the excursions may not take place, or the prices, content and vehicles used for extra tours/activities may vary depending on the number of participants. In addition, the dates and times of extra tours/activities may be changed by the guide depending on whether museums, archaeological sites or venues at the destinations are open/closed and on weather conditions.

ACCOMMODATION   

During periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events and sports tournaments, hotels may be used at distances greater than the stated number of kilometers.

Triple rooms may be provided subject to hotel availability, and in such rooms the bed provided for the 3rd person may be smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed and 1 additional bed. Since additional beds consist of foldable beds, also known as opening-closing beds and coach beds, participants making reservations for the 3rd person and/or children are deemed to have declared that they accept the possible limited space and bed type in the rooms.

Child discounts are valid for one (1) child who stays with 2 adults and falls within the age group specified in the pricing section.

Breakfasts included in the tour program and served at hotels are provided in accordance with the breakfast culture of the country visited and generally consist of a limited menu of butter, jam, bread, tea or coffee, known as a continental breakfast. For groups, breakfast may be served in a separate room allocated to the group.

There is a 1-hour time difference between Türkiye and Finland. Türkiye is one hour ahead of Finland.

CLOTHING AND NECESSARY ITEMS  

Finland is very cold in winter. Therefore, we recommend that you bring a thick jacket/coat, wool sweaters, fleeces, thick trousers, wool or fleece gloves, a hat and a scarf. In addition, you may bring snow goggles, sunscreen, earplugs in case of possible noise, a camera, video camera, their chargers and spare memory cards. Any special clothing required for the extra tours you join will be provided to you on the day of the tour.

FOOD CULTURE           

Finnish cuisine provides great culinary enjoyment to those who taste it. In this city, vegetarian dishes, seafood, meat dishes and all kinds of flavors are prepared to suit every palate. Cafes, bars, clubs and many other venues offer all kinds of beverages to their customers. 

SHOPPING         

Shopping is possible at shopping centers located in city centers and at small stalls selling souvenirs.

IMPORTANT NOTES            

Having a valid passport and/or having obtained a visa (for a destination/passport where a visa is required) does not mean that entry into the country is guaranteed. Passport control officers have the authority to refuse you entry into the country. The Agency is not responsible for this situation; responsibility rests with the passenger.

The Agency is an intermediary between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the Hague Protocol of 28.09.1955. There may be a risk of delays on scheduled and charter flights, or flight times may change before the existing trip and flight. The Agency is obliged to notify you of these changes as soon as possible. Our passengers have purchased the tour knowing and accepting that flight details may change. Children between 0 and 2 years of age do not pay airport taxes and airport service fees

Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours of no more than 2–3 hours, arranged for a general introduction to the cities and conducted panoramically with the guide’s narration from inside the vehicle; they do not include museum or archaeological site entrance fees. If panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, cannot take place because local authorities do not permit visits or entry on the relevant day and at the relevant time, because roads are closed due to an event, or because weather conditions make the tour impossible, the Agency is not responsible for the tours not taking place. Some tours may be conducted by public transportation or on foot, where possible, on closed roads or at points where vehicle access is not permitted.
