Our second stop will be Luxor Temple, which rises with all its splendor on the banks of the Nile River and is one of the best-preserved structures of the ancient world. Built around 1400 BC and welcoming visitors with the colossal statues of Ramses II, this temple was a sacred center that hosted coronation ceremonies of kings. After visiting the Valley of the Kings, we visit Hatshepsut Temple, built in memory of Hatshepsut, the first and only female pharaoh of Ancient Egypt. After touring this monumental structure, one of the most important of Hatshepsut’s mortuary temples, where she dressed like a king and wore a false beard after becoming queen, we will have lunch at a local restaurant. Then we will transfer to our hotel and have free time. Overnight at our hotel.
