We start our tour by meeting our guide at Istanbul New Airport International Terminal at 04:00. After our ticket and luggage procedures, we perform our scheduled flight with Turkish Airlines TK1373 at 06:50 from Istanbul to Palermo. Upon arrival in Palermo at 08:25 local time, we will have a panoramic city tour of Palermo, where we will see Via Libertà and Via Roma streets, Quattro Canti, the Shame Fountain, Norman Palace, Teatro Massimo, Teatro Politeama Garibaldi, and Palermo Cathedral. Our guests who wish can join our extra Monreale tour organized by our guide (35 Euro). Monreale creates a magical atmosphere with its charm and beauty, being one of Sicily's most important cultural sites. We will explore Monreale, which is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and hosts Sicily's most important cathedral. After our free time in Monreale, we will head to our hotel. Overnight stay at our hotel.
2nd Day PALERMO | Erice & TrapaniAfter having breakfast at our hotel, we will have a free day. Our guests who wish can join our extra Erice and Trapani tour organized by our guide (65 Euro). We start our tour in Erice, where you will experience the medieval atmosphere. We stroll through the stone streets of Erice and enjoy the magnificent view from Venus Castle. We recommend you try the delicious treats from Erice, famous for its chocolate shops and patisseries. Then, we head to Trapani, a fishing village. We will walk by the fishermen's harbor and see the colorful fishing boats. In Trapani, with its unspoiled beaches like Lido di Paradiso, we will have a break where our guests can enjoy seafood. After the tour, we return to our hotel and overnight stay.
3rd Day PALERMO – CATANIA | Cefalu & OutletAfter having breakfast at our hotel, we check-out and return our room keys to the reception. We then head to Catania. Our guests who wish can join the extra Cefalu fishing village tour and tour to one of Sicily’s largest outlets, which we organize along the way (30 Euro). Cefalù, is a historic and beautiful fishing village located on Sicily’s northern coast. It is known for its historic streets, stunning beaches, and the famous Cefalu Cathedral. After taking in the city view from the Rocca di Cefalu mountain, we will descend into the historical city center and its narrow streets. We will see the magnificent Cefalu Cathedral, which has a unique blend of Arab and Norman architecture. After resting in seaside cafes, we will head to the Outlet. Following our break for shopping, we will transfer to Catania. Upon our arrival in Catania, we will have a panoramic city tour of Catania. During this tour, we will see the Elephant Fountain, Republic Square, Etna Avenue, and Duomo Cathedral. Overnight stay at our hotel.
4th Day CATANIA | Etna & Savoca & TaorminaAfter having breakfast at our hotel, our guests who wish can join our guide in the extra tour to Etna Volcano, Savoca — one of the filming locations for The Godfather, and Taormina (80 Euro). We start our tour at Etna Volcano, the largest and highest volcano in Europe, standing at 3350 meters, and active for about half a million years. This site is also listed on UNESCO's World Natural Heritage list. We ascend to the Silvestri crater at the height of 1900 meters covered with lava. Next, we continue to Savoca, where some of the most important scenes from The Godfather Part II were filmed. As we listen to the stories of famous mafia families on the Sicilian island, you can sip local drinks at Bar Vitelli, adorned with photos of the film's characters Michael and Apollonia, and enjoy envisioning film scenes. After this visit, we will follow the cobblestone narrow roads and see the 14th-century Church of San Nicolo, where Michael and Apollonia got married in the film. After this, we will head to Taormina via Naxos. Naxos will charm you with its beautiful coast and nature. After arriving in Taormina, the luxurious town of Sicily, we will see the Church of San Giuseppe, Porta Catania, and Porta Messina. In Taormina, we recommend you try the flavors of Sicilian cuisine, including Pasta alla Norma and Cannolo Siciliano. After the tour, we will return to our hotel and overnight stay.
5th Day CATANIA – MALTA | Siracusa & NotoAfter having breakfast at our hotel, we do the check-out procedures. Our guests who wish can go on an extra tour of Siracusa and Noto (50 Euro) en route. Our tour to Siracusa, the city of the famous mathematician Archimedes, starts with the Ortygia peninsula, which is connected to Siracusa by bridges, where we visit Duomo Square. In this square, we will see the Siracusa Cathedral, which is built on the remains of the Temple of Athena, and the Church of Santa Lucia, known as the patron saint of the city. We will explore the Arethusa Fountain, a source of sweet water, and Archimedes Square before wandering through the narrow streets filled with cafes and shops. After free time, we will head to Noto, one of the most important Baroque-style towns in Sicily, which was completely destroyed by the earthquake in 1693 and rebuilt in the 18th century with many historical buildings and architectural marvels. Afterward, we head to Catania and perform our panoramic city tour. During this tour, we will see the Elephant Fountain, Republic Square, Etna Avenue, and Duomo Cathedral. After the tour, we will go to Pozzallo port to take a fast ferry to Malta, departing at 19:30. Arrival in Malta at 21:15 and transfer to our hotel. Overnight stay at our hotel.
6th Day MALTA | Rabat & Mdina & VallettaAfter having breakfast at our hotel, we will have our panoramic tour of the three cities. Sit back and explore with us the cities known as Cottonera, built and supported by the Knights of Malta: Vittoriosa, Cospicua, and Senglea. After our bus tour in Cospicua, we will walk through the mystical and mysterious narrow streets of Vittoriosa, where we will see historical churches and palaces. Finally, Senglea awaits us with its magnificent harbor view and watchtower located in the center of the Grand Harbor. Our guests who wish can join our guide for an extra tour of Rabat & Mdina & Valletta (50 Euro). Our first stop will be Rabat, which was colonized in 700 BC, with its ancient narrow streets surrounding Mdina. After exploring Rabat, we will proceed to Mdina, the former capital of Malta and a natural film set for many scenes from the famous series Game of Thrones. While wandering through the narrow streets of this Medieval city, known as the Silent City, we will see the magnificent St. Paul’s Cathedral, Falson Palace built by the noble families of Malta in the 13th century, the Carmelite Monastery built in Baroque style in the 17th century, and Mdina’s historic houses. After our free time, we will head to Valletta to perform our city tour. During our tour, we will have a chance to view the majestic walls surrounding Valletta from the outside. After our bus tour, we will explore the lively streets of Valletta on foot with our guide. Our first stop will be the Barracca Gardens, located on top of the defensive walls, which provide a wonderful view of the Grand Harbor and the three old cities surrounded by walls. After our break in Valletta, we will return to our hotel. Overnight stay at our hotel.
7th Day MALTA – ISTANBUL | Popeye’s Village & Sliema & MarsaxlokkAfter having breakfast at our hotel, we check out and return our room keys to the reception. The rest of the day will be free for you. Our guests who wish can join the extra tour organized by our guide to Popeye Village, Sliema, and the fishing village of Marsaxlokk (65 Euro). We arrive at Popeye Village, where the movie "Popeye" was filmed in 1980. Here, we will explore the village and watch the shows of Popeye, Olive Oyl, and Bluto. Known as the face of New Malta, you can stroll along the promenade in Sliema and visit shopping stores. With its vibrant lifestyle, Sliema also has many restaurants and cafes. After the Sliema tour, we will continue to visit the fishing village of “Marsaxlokk.” Don’t miss the scenery of the colorful fishing boats with the native colors and designs known as Luzzo. There is also an open market in this charming fishing village, where you can taste fresh fish and seafood during your free time. After the tour, we will transfer to the airport. After ticket and luggage procedures, we will depart to Istanbul at 19:30 with Turkish Airlines flight TK1372. Arrival in Istanbul at 23:00 local time, and the end of our tour.
