During our tour, we proceed along Krasny Prospekt, one of the longest avenues in the world, and get to know the architectural and historical texture of the city up close. Then, the Novosibirsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre, one of Russia’s most prestigious arts buildings, is seen from the outside. After a short walk and photo break on the banks of the Ob River, the academic and scientific centers reflecting Novosibirsk’s modern face are toured panoramically. With our guide’s explanations, information is given about the city’s development from the Soviet era to the present day. After the tour, free time for lunch. For the rest of the day, free time in the city center; guests may go shopping, spend time in cafes, or relax at the hotel. With S7 Airlines’ direct domestic flight, we head to Irkutsk, known as the gateway to Lake Baikal, in eastern Siberia. Upon arrival at Irkutsk Airport at noon, passport and baggage procedures are completed. After being greeted by our local guide, transfer to the city center is made. Along the way, our guide provides information about Irkutsk’s history, its connection with Lake Baikal, and the cultural importance of the region. After arrival at the hotel, check-in and room assignment, free time is given for lunch. For the rest of the day, free time is planned for rest after the long journey; guests who wish may take a walk around the Angara River or explore the city center individually. After approximately a 1-hour pleasant drive, we arrive in the Listvyanka area, one of the most well-known settlements on Lake Baikal. Along the way, our guide shares detailed information about Lake Baikal’s geological formation, biological richness, and the cultural importance it holds for the region. Upon arrival in Listvyanka, we join a boat tour on Lake Baikal. During this boat excursion, the unique scenery of Baikal, its crystal-clear waters, and the surrounding taiga forests are observed from the lake. With guide commentary, the different shorelines and natural structure of Baikal are closely observed. The boat tour is one of the most special and memorable moments of the Baikal experience. After the boat trip, lunch is served at a local restaurant overlooking Lake Baikal. During lunch, examples of the regional cuisine are offered, and our guide explains the impact of Lake Baikal on local life. After check-out, we set out on a half-day city and culture tour to get to know Irkutsk’s history and architectural texture up close. During the tour, the historic streets of Irkutsk, known for their wooden architecture and called “the Paris of Siberia,” the banks of the Angara River, and the city’s prominent points are explored with our guide’s explanations. After the city tour, lunch is served at a local restaurant. Regional specialties are offered. After lunch, a short free time is given; guests may walk around the city center or rest. Toward the evening, transfer is made to Irkutsk Airport. With S7 Airlines’ direct flight, we head to Krasnoyarsk, one of Siberia’s important centers. During the tour, the Yenisei River views, the historic city center, and important points reflecting Krasnoyarsk’s natural and cultural texture are visited with our guide’s explanations. The city is introduced with its unique character, where Siberia’s harsh nature blends with Soviet and modern architecture. During the city tour, photo breaks are given at panoramic viewpoints, and information is provided about Krasnoyarsk’s strategic importance on the Trans-Siberian route. At noon, lunch is served at a local restaurant. After the meal, a short free time is given. Toward the evening, transfer is made to the train station. Boarding procedures for the Trans-Siberian Express train operating on the Vladivostok – Moscow line are completed. After settling into 4-person compartment kupe carriages, an unforgettable overnight train journey begins across Siberia’s vast geography. Overnight on the train. After the long train journey, the day is intentionally planned at a gentle pace. Around 13:00, we depart the hotel and head to Akademgorodok, one of Novosibirsk’s most special districts. Located in the Siberian forests, this area was established for scientists during the Soviet era and is now known for its peaceful lifestyle surrounded by nature. Upon arrival in the area, a short forest walk, environmental exploration with guide commentary, and free time are provided. The program continues to the banks of the Ob River. With walking along the riverbank, photo breaks, and free time in local cafes, the tranquil rhythm of Siberian summer is experienced. This part is more of a lifestyle observation than a city tour. In the late afternoon, return to Novosibirsk city center. The rest of the day is free time.
