Day 1 – ISTANBUL ✈ DAKAR We meet at Istanbul Airport International Terminal at 11:30. After baggage and check-in procedures, we depart at 14:30 on Turkish Airlines’ direct flight to Dakar, the enchanting capital of West Africa. Arrival in Dakar at 19:15. Accommodation: Hotel Fleur de Lys Plateau 4* Dinner included Day 2 – DAKAR CITY TOUR & GOREE ISLAND After breakfast, we begin exploring Dakar: African Renaissance Monument: This 52-meter-high statue symbolizes Africa’s awakening and pride. We see the city’s important landmarks such as the Plateau District, the Presidential Palace, and Baobab Market. Around noon, we take boats to Goree Island. In the middle of the Atlantic, this UNESCO-protected island carries deep traces of the history of the slave trade. Our discovery points will include the House of Slaves, colonial architecture, the handicrafts street, and the harbor area. Accommodation: Hotel Fleur de Lys Plateau 4* Dinner included Day 3 – LAC ROSE & SURROUNDING VILLAGES After breakfast, we head to Lac Rose (Pink Lake), a unique natural wonder located east of Dakar. This lake takes on intense pink tones, especially in the morning sunlight. Meeting the local people who extract salt using traditional methods, Interaction with the Peulh and Wolof tribes living in the villages, For those who wish, an adrenaline-filled mini safari over the dunes by 4x4 vehicles (extra). At 17:15, we fly with Air Senegal to Cape Verde, the volcanic island country in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean (Praia). Arrival at 18:35 and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation: Hotel Pérola 4* Dinner included Day 5 – CIDADE VELHA & TARRAFAL TOUR After breakfast, we head to Cidade Velha, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This area, the first Portuguese colony in West Africa, contains historical ruins such as: Royal Street, the Old Cathedral, and Fort Real de São Filipe. In the afternoon, we continue to Tarrafal Beach in the north of the island. Turquoise waters, palm shadows, and a peaceful atmosphere complete our day. Accommodation: Hotel Pérola 4* Lunch included Day 6 – PRAIA CITY TOUR & ART ROUTE Today we get to know Praia more closely: Shopping for handicrafts at Sucupira Market, Plateau District and colonial-era buildings, Art Street and local galleries, Leisure walking routes and seaside breaks. Accommodation: Hotel Pérola 4* Dinner included Day 7 – PRAIA ✈ DAKAR We check out of the hotel at 03:00 in the morning and transfer to the airport. We return to Dakar on the 05:10 flight. Arrival at 07:30 and transfer to our hotel. The rest of the day is free time or optional excursions. Accommodation: Hotel Fleur de Lys Plateau 4* Lunch included Day 8 – BANDIA SAFARI & TRADITIONAL VILLAGE VISIT After breakfast, we head to the Bandia Nature Reserve near Dakar. With 4x4 open safari vehicles: We have the opportunity to observe giraffes, zebras, impalas, antelopes, ostriches, and various bird species in their natural habitat. After the safari, we visit a local village to learn about traditional Senegalese lifestyle, culinary culture, and architectural structures. Accommodation: Hotel Fleur de Lys Plateau 4* Lunch included Day 9 – NGOR ISLAND & FLIGHT TO ISTANBUL On our last day, we take a short boat ride to Ngor Island, located off Dakar. On this small and charming island: We visit fishing villages, Tour art galleries, Relax by the sea. In the afternoon, free time for shopping and relaxation. At 18:00 we transfer to the airport. At 21:00, we return to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines. Day 10 – ISTANBUL Arrival at Istanbul Airport at 06:50.
