We meet at 06:00 at the international departures terminal of Sabiha Gökçen Airport, then complete our check-in procedures and depart for Copenhagen at 09:30 with AJet Airlines flight VF69. Upon arrival in Copenhagen at 12:00 local time, we are met by our private coach and head out for the “Copenhagen Panoramic City Tour.” Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, is located on Zealand, the country’s largest island. Amalienborg Palace, located in the city center, is famously still the residence of the royal family. Copenhagen, one of Europe’s highest-standard-of-living cities, is also known for its colorful nightlife. Described as one of the world’s top five cities to live in, Copenhagen’s city tour includes such sights as the city’s symbol, the “Little Mermaid,” Amalienborg, Christiansborg and Rosenborg Palaces, the Gefion Fountain, Tivoli Gardens, the autonomous hippie district, and Christiana. After the tour, transfer to our ship. Following embarkation procedures and cabin settlement, free time. Our ship will depart from the port at 18:00. Dinner and overnight on board.
DAY 2 AT SEA
On this day spent cruising at sea, our ship will offer many alternatives. Those who wish may enjoy the ship’s indoor and outdoor pools, jacuzzis, and sunbathing areas. Guests can shop at duty-free stores, try their luck at the casino, or enjoy the various music and entertainment acts performed in the many bars. A variety of dining options will also be available throughout the day.
DAY 3 HELLESYLT/GEIRANGER
Our ship will dock in Hellesylt port at 09:00 in the morning. After breakfast, free time for personal activities. Guests who wish may join the optional “Hellesylt & Geiranger Tour” organized by our guide. Two enchanting villages at the end of Storfjord. Once northern postal ports, now among Norway’s most sought-after cruise destinations due to the difficulty of land access, with an average of 180 ship calls per year. We begin our tour by greeting Hellesylt Waterfall... Originally the postal route heading north, now a tourism center. First, we go to a viewpoint overlooking Hellesylt Fjord and take photos of the fjord before continuing on our way. Our first stop is the stone bridge from the 1800s. Then we visit Hornindal Lake, the deepest lake in Europe, and stop there. After setting off again, our next stop is Stryn, one of the liveliest towns in the region. In Stryn, where the royal family especially comes to fish, you will see the stone bridge and then be given free time for shopping and coffee/lunch. After a break at the foot of Djupvatnet Lake, you will be amazed by the view from the terrace of Dalsnibba Mountain at 1,476 meters altitude, weather permitting. Then we stop at the Flydal viewpoint and photograph Geiranger Fjord. After our tour, we return to our ship. Dinner and overnight on board. Our ship will leave the port at 21:00.
DAY 4 ÅLESUND
Our ship will dock in Ålesund port at 07:00 in the morning. After breakfast, free time for personal activities. Ålesund, built like a painting at the top of Norway’s western fjord region, spreads across several islands with the Sunnmøre Mountains in the background and extends toward the Atlantic. Although much of the town was destroyed by fire in the early 20th century, Ålesund was rebuilt in full Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) elegance. Guests who wish may join the optional “Trollstigen and Ålesund Panoramic Tour” organized by our guide. From the meeting point, the bus will take you through beautiful scenery outside Ålesund to the land of the trolls. This part of Møre og Romsdal is especially known for its furniture industry. From Sjøholt, the road along Storfjord takes you through Stordal and its Rose Church (built in 1789) to Valldal, famous for its delicious strawberries. The next stop will be the breathtaking Gudbrandsjuvet, a narrow gorge only 5 meters wide and 20–25 meters deep. You can walk across a bridge from one side of the gorge to the other. From here, the bus heads to the Trollstigen plateau through Reinheimen National Park. Enjoy magnificent views of the King, Queen, and Bishop mountains and the waterfall Stigfossen from Trollstigen. As the bus descends Trollstigen, the driver will safely navigate 11 sharp bends. At the bottom of the road, there will be an additional photo stop where you can take the best pictures of Stigfossen. Next is a visit to Troll Wall / Trollveggen, the highest vertical rock face in Europe. After this stop, it is time to return to Ålesund. Then we will return to Ålesund and take the panoramic city tour. After the tour, we return to our ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 17:00. Dinner and overnight on board.
DAY 5 FLÅM
Our ship will dock in Flåm port at 07:00 in the morning. After breakfast, free time for personal activities. Guests who wish may join the optional “Magnificent Flåm Fjord & Gudvangen & Tvinde Waterfall Tour” organized by our guide. Our first stop will be Tvindefossen, one of Norway’s most famous waterfalls, which can be translated as the “twin waterfall.” Our next visits will be Gudvangen, meaning “the meeting place of the gods,” and the Stegastein viewpoint, with its pleasant road and magnificent scenery. In another area offering equally delightful views, we will stop at Grimsetelvi and photograph the wonderful nature before returning to Flåm. At the end of the tour, before departing from our last port in Norway, you will have time for plenty of shopping in stores where you can find tax-refund eligible, famous lightweight goose-down Norwegian jackets, Omega-3 fish oils, and many other souvenirs. Dinner and overnight on board. Our ship will depart from the port at 18:00.
