Tour Program

Day 1 Istanbul – Kavala
On the first day of our journey, we depart at 21:00 from Kadıköy Marriage Office, at 21:30 from Mecidiyeköy Oto Ekspertiz front, and at 22:00 from İncirli Ömür plaza front, and at 22:30 from Beylikdüzü Marmara Park Front, heading to the İpsala border gate. After completing the passport and customs procedures, we will arrive at Kavala via Dedeağaç, Gümülcine, and İskeçe.


Day 2 Kavala – Thessaloniki – Bitola (Monastir) – Resne – Ohrid
Upon arriving in Kavala , we will stop for breakfast and taste the delicious Kavala cookies. After breakfast, we will take a short photo break along the beautiful Kavala coastline, then head towards Thessaloniki. Upon arrival in Thessaloniki, we will start our panoramic city tour.
During our panoramic tour, we will see the Kordon, White Tower, Rotunda, Fair, Thessaloniki Fortress, Ottoman and Byzantine artifacts. After visiting the house of our Great Leader Atatürk, which is currently in the garden of the Turkish consulate, we will move on to Bitola. After arriving, we will visit Shirok Sokak, Bedesten, Ishak Mosque, New Mosque, and the moments of emotional experiences we will have at the Military Academy where Atatürk graduated. After our Bitola visit, we will go to Ohrid, the jewel of the Balkans, via Resne, the hometown of Resneli Niyazi. Transfer to our hotel. Overnight stay at our hotel.
Breakfast: Will be taken extra at the resting facility in Kavala.
Lunch: Will be taken extra during free time in Thessaloniki city center. - You can taste all local delicacies. Guide Recommendation:  Seafood and Appetizers.

Day 3 Ohrid – Sveti Naum-Tetovo (Kalkandelen) – Skopje
After breakfast taken at the hotel, we will proceed to the pretty Mediterranean town of Ohrid after crossing the Mavrovo mountains. We will start our tour in Ohrid with the port square, mentioning the statues we will see and during a walk through the historical Ottoman houses where the scenes of the series Elveda Rumeli were filmed, we will conclude our tour with a presentation of the famous Ohrid Pearl, the biggest symbol of the city. Guests can join an optional boat activity organized by our guide on Lake Ohrid. (15EUR) After the tour, we will visit St. Naum, which is the spring of Ohrid Lake and hosts magnificent views. After the tour, we will head towards the capital Skopje. On our way, we will visit Tetovo (Kalkandelen), which is the country’s third largest city and the city with the highest Albanian population. We will visit the Alaca Mosque and Imarethane, founded by two sisters. We will start our tour in this city, which is divided by the famous Vardar River of two different cultures, from the Macedonian side known as the land of statues, and the first statue we will see would be the giant statue of Alexander the Great. Then we will cross the historic Stone Bridge built on Vardar River and witness how cultures change in an instant by visiting the Skopje Turkish Bazaar, one of the most qualified bazaars of the Ottoman Empire in the Balkans. After passing by the statues at the entrance to the Bazaar, we will start our tour of the marketplace by seeing the Davut Pasha Hamam and the Murat Pasha Mosque that survived despite the earthquakes. After the visits, we will have an hour of free time for shopping in the Turkish Bazaar. Among the things we can buy are Şuşka pepper, ustrumca peanuts, and shoes. After the tour, we will transfer to the hotel and settle into our rooms. Afterwards, we will have an extra local dinner with music at a place determined by the guide. (INCLUDED IN THE PRICE!!!!). Overnight stay at our hotel.

Lunch: Will be taken extra in exclusive establishments serving authentic dishes during Ohrid – Skopje route.

Day 4  Skopje – Prizren – Shkodër or Podgorica
After breakfast at the hotel, we will have a tour of the uniquely beautiful Matka Canyon (INCLUDED IN THE PRICE!!!). After that, we will head toward the capital of Kosovo, Pristina. Once we cross the Kosovo border, we will proceed to a panoramic transit through Pristina and the Kosovo Plain, where the Kosovo Battle took place, visiting the I.Sultan Murat Hüdavendigar Tomb following that. After that, we will continue our journey towards Prizren. Arrival in Prizren, which is the city with the largest Turkish population in the country. During our panoramic tour in Prizren, which may be one of the most charming cities in the Balkans, we will see places like the Turkish Bath from the 17th century, the Sinan Pasha Mosque built in 1615, and the Prizren Fortress. After the visits, we will have free time for lunch. After regrouping, we will transition to Albania and travel to Podgorica. After passing through Shkodër, we will arrive at one of the youngest states in Europe, Montenegro. After the border crossing, we will continue our journey in Montenegro until we reach our accommodation point. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5 Podgorica - Budva – Kotor – Dubrovnik – Trebinje or Surroundings
After breakfast, our first stop will be a panoramic viewpoint over St. Stefan that became a holiday destination for jet-setters after being sold to a multimillionaire and will be visible from a distance. (Depending on availability in the parking area). We will continue our journey along the stunning coastline of Montenegro, making a panoramic transition through Budva to Kotor, which is located within the Kotor Bay. In Kotor, we will see the Old Town, St. Tryphon and Nicolas Churches, and the historic Clock Tower among other sites. After visiting Kotor in the afternoon, we will cross to Croatia, which is known for its Italian-Mediterranean culture due to its geography and predominately Catholic belief system because it was one of the main states of the former Yugoslavia. After a scenic drive, we will arrive in Dubrovnik for a tour (INCLUDED IN THE PRICE!!!), which is known for being one of the oldest trade ports on the Adriatic, historically influenced by Venice, yielding a stunning culture-nature synthesis. Our tour will start at the Old Town Square, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. We will see the city walls and towers, St. Blaise's Church, the Rector's Palace, the statue of the famous poet Gundulić, the historic fountain, and the pharmacy from the 14th century. At the end, we will have free time to enjoy the magical atmosphere of this beautiful city.
After the tour, we will transfer to our hotel. Overnight in Trebinje or nearby hotels. (The city of accommodation may change depending on the season's intensity).

Day 6  Trebinje or (Neum) - Blagaj – Mostar – Sarajevo 
After breakfast, we will proceed to Mostar. Before arriving in Mostar, we will conduct the Blagaj tour to visit the Blagaj Tekke (INCLUDED IN THE PRICE!!!). Upon arrival in Mostar, we will first see the Mostar Bridge. (Built by Architect Hayreddin in 1557, this bridge is a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture). The bridge was destroyed in 1992 by Croatian artillery, but with significant contributions from the Republic of Turkey, it was reopened in 2004. We will explore the old town market.. After shopping at local markets in Mostar, we will head towards Sarajevo. After arriving, we will have a panoramic city tour in Sarajevo, which has been the cultural capital of the Balkans for centuries and where Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary was assassinated by Serbs in 1914, marking the beginning of World War I. Sarajevo suffered tremendous damage during the war in 1992, but has largely retained its beauty. We will begin our tour at the famous Başçarşı, the most unique bazaar in Europe. This cultural city tour will start with the Sebil Fountain, a symbol of the city, followed by the famous Morica Han. After that, we will visit the Hüsrev Bey Mosque, a relative of the Suleiman the Magnificent. In the continuation of our tour, we will look at the Clock Tower, a ritualized fountain, and the meeting point of cultures, which is also the location of the Eternal Flame monument. Then we will proceed to free time, and guests can take photographs at the Latin Bridge, the site of the assassination that sparked World War I. After the tour and free time, we will transfer back to our hotel.
Afterwards, we will enjoy Bosnian meatballs at a local restaurant selected by the guide. (INCLUDED IN THE PRICE!!!!) Accommodation at our hotel in Sarajevo.

Day 7 Sarajevo – Belgrade
After breakfast, we will head to Belgrade. Before the journey, we will have a tour of Vrelo Bosne, the largest national park in Bosnia, located at the foot of the Igman Mountain, which is the source of water for Sarajevo (INCLUDED IN THE PRICE!!!). Following our journey, we will dive into the lively city of Belgrade, starting our city tour from Knez Mihailova, the city's most elegant street. Then, we will visit Belgrade Castle, where Fatih Sultan Mehmed was wounded, and which was conquered by Kanuni Sultan Suleiman. We will explore the keys monument, French statue, Istanbul Gate, Military Museum, Damat Ali Pasha Tomb, Sokullu Fountain, and enjoy the best views over the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers. Afterwards, we will have free time to explore the city. Accommodation will be at our hotel in Belgrade.

Day 8 Belgrade – Sofia – Istanbul
After breakfast, we will depart for Sofia. Upon arrival, we will start our panoramic city tour. During our panoramic tour, we will see Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the largest church in the Balkans, the National Library, Sofia University, the Old Royal Palace, the National Bulgarian Theater built in neoclassical style, the Archaeological Museum, the Old Sofia – the Syndicate city, and the Rotunda Church. Next, we will take a panoramic look and photo break at the Sofia Monument, followed by a visit to the quintessential Banya Bashi Mosque, which is the symbol of the city. After our visits and free time, we will head back to Turkey. In the evening, we will arrive at the Kapıkule border gate, where we will go through passport and customs procedures and have a free shopping break. We will then enter Turkey and head towards Istanbul points of departure, concluding the program.

Need to Know
INFORMATION - Guests participating in the tour must have a valid Multi (Multiple Entry) Schengen visa for the entire duration of the tour. (Holders of Green Passports are exempt from the visa requirement.) - For shopping and expenses in all countries included in the program during the tour, it is sufficient to have Euros. In regions where local currency is used, the guide will assist with currency exchange. - Comfortable walking shoes or sneakers should be preferred during the trip. It is advisable to bring a cardigan, etc., for the evening. - On our tours, seat rotation (seat change) is applied daily in the seating plan, and no fixed seat or front seat guarantee is given. Seat changes are organized by the tour guide. - When entering Turkey from abroad, a minimum stay of 3 days is required in order to bring goods (alcohol, cigarettes, etc.). - Duty-free shopping limits when entering Turkey from abroad: Cigarettes: 3 cartons, Alcoholic beverages: 1 liter of alcoholic beverage (excluding alcoholic beverages with more than 22% alcohol, wine and champagne), Alcoholic beverages: 2 liters of alcoholic beverage (including alcoholic beverages with less than 22% alcohol, wine and champagne), Perfume: 600 ml, Makeup or skin care products: 5 items, Chocolate and confectionery: 2 kg, Coffee: 1 kg, Tea: 1 kg - The guide may make changes to the flow of the program depending on weather and road conditions, provided that all places specified in the program are shown. - Guests registered for the tour have the right to cancel free of charge up to 30 days before the tour date. If there are fewer than 30 days remaining until the tour date, a 30% penalty applies; if there are 20 days or less remaining, a 100% penalty applies. Documents submitted with the cancellation request, such as hospital reports or employer permission letters obtained from authorities in Turkey, are unfortunately not accepted for the cancellation of hotels and services to be received outside Turkey. - Our tour program is organized with a minimum participation requirement of 25 people. If sufficient participation is not achieved, the latest cancellation notice date is 20 days before the tour departure. The tour canceled due to insufficient participation will be notified by Viyatravel. - In cases where only category information is provided without specifying a hotel name in the tour program and/or there are multiple options for the same destination, the hotel(s) will be announced by Viyatravel 2 days before departure. - During fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used farther than the specified distances. In such a case, information will be provided by Viyatravel 15 days before the departure date. - Triple rooms are provided subject to hotel availability, and in such rooms the bed assigned to the 3rd person is smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Since extra beds are foldable/collapsible or coach beds, tour participants making reservations for a 3rd person and/or child are deemed to have accepted the possible cramped conditions and the bed type in the rooms. Child discounts apply only to one child in the relevant age group staying with 2 adults. - Breakfasts included in the tour program are served in accordance with the breakfast culture of the country visited and are generally offered as a limited menu known as continental breakfast, consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea or coffee. For groups, breakfast may be served in a separate hall allocated to the group. - Panoramic city tours included in the tour package are tours organized for the general introduction of the cities and conducted panoramically from inside the vehicle with guide commentary, not including museum or archaeological site entrances, and lasting at most 2-3 hours. Panoramic tours, including other tours specified in the program, if not carried out because local authorities do not permit visits/entry on the day and time of the tour, or if they cannot be carried out due to closed roads because of any event, or if weather conditions make the tour impossible, Viyatravel is not responsible for the inability to conduct such tours. Some tours may be carried out by public transport or on foot where possible in areas with closed roads or where vehicle entry is not permitted. - Waiting times at border gates crossed by road during the journey may exceed standard levels, and Viyatravel cannot be held responsible for any inconveniences arising from these waiting times. - Extra tours are organized by local Viyatravel partners with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people. If the required number is not reached, the excursions cannot be carried out, or the extra tour prices, content, and vehicles used may vary depending on the number of participants. In addition, the days and times of the tours may be changed by the guide according to the opening/closing status of museums and archaeological sites at the destinations and weather conditions. - Participation in extra tours is optional and not mandatory. Passengers who do not wish to join extra tours organized during the tour are deemed to have accepted waiting at a suitable rest stop along the route. These passengers will be dropped off at a roadside rest stop before the extra tour begins and picked up from the same point after the tour is completed. - For those participating in tours with flights, the check-in and boarding procedures are personal responsibilities and must be completed by the guest before the flight at the relevant airline counters at the airport or online through the airline’s website. - Viyatravel acts as an intermediary between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the Hague Protocol dated 28.09.1955. Delays may occur on scheduled and special flights, or the times before and during the current trip may change. Viyatravel is obliged to notify such changes as soon as possible. The passenger accepts the risk of schedule changes by purchasing the trip. Children aged 0-2 do not pay airport tax or airport service fees. - The types of vehicles used on our tours are classified as follows according to the number of participants.
