Due to its ancient history, living conditions, and appearance, it has attracted the attention of Hollywood filmmakers. Thus, films like Pasolini's "The Gospel According to St. Matthew," Ferrara's "Mary," Beresford's "King David," Hardwicke's "The Nativity Story," and Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ" have been filmed here. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995, Alberobello will create a fairytale effect with its uniquely shaped white houses and roofs. The Trulli houses were built without mortar, stacking stones on top of each other. When the royal tax increased excessively during the king's time, people built their houses this way, and when royal officers came to check, they would pull a rope inside the house to collapse the cone-shaped roof. We continue our tour at the Castellana Caves, the world's oldest cave system. Composed of limestone known as calcium carbonate, the cave system is 3348 meters long and reaches a depth of 122 meters. Our final stop is the coastal town of Polignano Amare. As we reach the beach through the narrow streets of the town, we are greeted by high cliffs, white houses on them, and a crystal-clear cove. After the tour and a break at the beach, we return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel. 3RD DAY Bari (Puglia Treasures Tour) After breakfast, a free day. Guests who wish can join our guide for the **extra** **Puglia Treasures Tour (Martina Franca - Ostuni - Monopoli) (145€)**.
