Tour detail
1. Day ISTANBUL – TUNIS – NABEUL – HAMMAMET We meet at Istanbul New Airport’s international departures terminal three hours before the flight. After baggage, ticket, and boarding procedures, we begin our Turkish Airlines scheduled flight to Tunisia. Upon arrival at Tunis Airport, we proceed to our private bus waiting for us and start our city tour. During the city tour, among the places you will see are Bourguiba Avenue, which will make you feel as if you are in France, St. Vincent de Paul Cathedral, built in the 19th century, the statue of Ibn Khaldun, one of the famous Arab scholars of the Middle Ages, and the clock tower, considered a symbol of Tunisia. Then we depart for our Nabeul tour. While wandering through the mystical streets of Nabeul, the capital of ceramic and pottery art, we will see many Tunisia-specific items such as copper goods, leather items, embroidery, and cradles. Afterwards, we head to Hammamet, known as the Saint-Tropez of Tunisia, built on the seashore and offering magnificent views from its rooftop terraces. In Hammamet, among the places we will see are the long, clean beaches and the azure sea, as well as magnificent parks, luxurious gardens, castle walls, streets, and the grand mosque that has managed to preserve the city’s deep-rooted history. After the tour, transfer to the hotel and free time to rest. Dinner and accommodation at our hotel. 2. Day HAMMAMET After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for the Kairouan & El Jem & Monastir tour. Our first stop on the tour is Kairouan. We will visit the Great Okba Ibn Nefaa Mosque, considered the ancestor of all mosques in the Maghreb region and also one of the most important Islamic monuments. This structure, a universal architectural masterpiece, is also classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. We will also visit the Aghlabid Basins and finally the tomb of Sidi Sahbi. Then we head to El Jem. The amphitheater here is one of the best-preserved Roman ruins in the world. Built in the mid-3rd century AD (230–240 AD), this monumental amphitheater is the largest Roman monument remaining in Africa and ranks third in the Empire after those in Rome and Verona. It is one of the last great amphitheaters built during the Roman period, and its architectural design is an improved version of the Colosseum in Rome. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. Dinner and accommodation at our hotel. 3. Day HAMMAMET After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for the Tunis & Carthage & Bardo Museum tour. We first head to the ancient city of Carthage. In this ancient city, founded by the Phoenicians and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will explore 3,000-year-old Roman, Byzantine, and Crusader ruins in the footsteps of the famous Carthaginian commander Hannibal. Carthage, which contains a series of ancient structures and ruins, reflects its rich history with thermal baths, temples, and walls. Afterwards, our tour continues with a visit to the Bardo Museum. The museum has an extensive collection of artifacts, with Roman mosaics being particularly striking. With their intricate designs and vibrant colors, each mosaic tells a unique story from Tunisia’s diverse past. Then we head to Tunis’s historic Medina district. We tour the Medina of Tunis, also known as Old Tunis, with its narrow streets and bazaar filled with souvenir shops. We will visit Souk El Attarine, a famous market located in the historic center of Tunisia’s capital, Tunis. “Souk” means “market” or “bazaar” in Arabic, and “El Attarine” means “perfumers” or “spice merchants.” Here you may shop as you wish. Afterwards, Place de la Kasbah (Historic Tunis Square) and Zeytuna Mosque are among the places you will see. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. Dinner and accommodation at our hotel. 4. Day HAMMAMET – TUNIS – ISTANBUL After breakfast at the hotel, check-out from the rooms. Then we depart for our Sidi Bou Said tour. We go to Sidi Bou Said, surrounded by the blue waters of the Mediterranean, with its blue-and-white houses, narrow streets, and breathtaking views. You will be able to stroll through the enchanting streets of Sidi Bou Said, also known as the Santorini of Tunisia, and take magnificent photos.
