After the tour, transfer to the hotel and free time to rest. Dinner and accommodation at our hotel. 2nd Day CHEBIKA – TAMERZA – MIDES CANYON – STAR WARS FILM STUDIO – SUNSET IN TOZEUR BY 4X4 JEEPS After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for an unforgettable adventure by 4x4 jeeps to watch the sunset among endless golden sands, vast oasis landscapes, and mysterious canyons. This journey will allow us to discover that Tozeur is not only made of sand, but also a wonderland that hosts the most striking contrasts of nature. Our first stop is Chebika, a desert oasis where sunlight hits the rocks and creates magical reflections. Once a resting point for Roman soldiers, this area, with its hidden water sources and lush greenery, is like a paradise oasis in the middle of the desert. Here, we will witness the miracles of nature while listening to the peaceful sound of water flowing through the rocks. Next, we reach Tamerza, the largest mountain oasis in Tunisia. With its clear waterfalls, steep cliffs, and breathtaking scenery, Tamerza is one of the enchanting beauties nature has offered us. The contrast between the hot, dry desert atmosphere and these refreshing water sources makes the region fascinating. Mides Canyon is like a work of art patiently shaped by nature! Formed by millions of years of wind and water, these deep canyons captivate visitors with their striking curves and majestic appearance. Here, we will have the chance to observe nature’s centuries-long artistry by following the traces of geological time. After our safari tour, we reach the Star Wars film set, where we step into a science fiction universe in the middle of the desert. The mystical atmosphere of the Sahara Desert has created a unique world that brought the film’s iconic scenes to life. On this plateau, which offers film fans a sense of time travel, you will feel as if you are inside a science fiction world. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. Dinner and accommodation at our hotel. 3rd Day TOZEUR – DOUZ – MATMATA – SFAX After breakfast at the hotel, we head to Douz, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.” One of Tunisia’s most impressive natural wonders, Douz is a unique point that makes one feel the magic of the Sahara with its endless sand dunes. This is a land where Berber tribes have led nomadic lives for centuries and camel caravans have left their marks. Here, while experiencing the deep silence of the desert, we will witness the impressive landscapes formed by endless dunes. In the infinity of the Sahara, we will feel nature’s fascinating power while watching the unique patterns carved into the sand by the wind. The dunes present a natural painting with their curves shaped by the wind and tones that change depending on the sunlight. After bidding farewell to Douz’s mystical atmosphere, we head to Matmata, famous for its striking underground houses. In this region, the cave dwellings used by the Berber people for thousands of years are an impressive heritage bearing traces of the past. With a simple desert appearance from the outside, Matmata offers a hidden world with structures formed around courtyards dug into the ground. This unique architecture was developed to protect against the scorching heat of summer and the harsh winds of winter. The region’s exotic atmosphere is so captivating that it inspired unforgettable scenes in the Star Wars films. As we walk through this enchanting setting, we will feel as if we are inside a film scene and have the opportunity to experience traditional Berber culture up close. After the tour, transfer to our hotel in Sfax and free time to rest. Dinner and accommodation at our hotel. 4th Day SFAX – EL JEM – MONASTIR – SOUSSE – HAMMAMET After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for El Jem. The amphitheater here is one of the best-preserved Roman ruins in the world. Built in the mid-3rd century AD (230–240 AD), this monumental amphitheater is the largest remaining Roman monument in Africa and ranks third in the Empire after those in Rome and Verona. It is one of the last great amphitheaters built during the Roman period, and its architectural design is an improved version of the Colosseum in Rome. Then we head to Monastir. We will visit the mausoleum of Habib Bourguiba, Tunisia’s first president, who played an important role in the country’s independence process. Standing out with its golden dome and elegant architecture, the Bourguiba Mausoleum is one of the most important structures witnessing Tunisia’s modern history. Here, by examining Bourguiba’s personal belongings and historical documents from the period, we will gain valuable insight into Tunisia’s recent past. Afterwards, our adventure continues with our Sousse visit, where narrow streets, the aromas of local flavors, and the vibrant colors of the market bring the city to life. After the tour, we visit Port El Kantaoui Marina and then transfer to our Hammamet hotel, with free time to rest. Dinner and accommodation at our hotel. 5th Day CARTHAGE – BARDO MUSEUM – SIDI BOU SAID – HAMMAMET After breakfast at the hotel, our first stop is the ancient city of Carthage. Founded by the Phoenicians and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will explore the traces of the famous Carthaginian commander Hannibal in this ancient city and discover 3,000-year-old Roman, Byzantine, and Crusader ruins. Carthage, which contains a series of ancient structures and ruins, reflects its rich history with thermal baths, temples, and city walls. Our tour then continues with a visit to the Bardo Museum. The museum has a large collection of artifacts, with Roman mosaics being especially notable. With their intricate designs and vivid colors, each mosaic tells a unique story from Tunisia’s different past. We then head to Tunisia’s historic Medina district. We tour the Medina of Tunis, also known as Old Tunis, with its narrow streets and bazaar filled with souvenir shops. We will visit Souk El Attarine, a famous market in the historic center of Tunisia’s capital. “Souk” means “market” or “bazaar” in Arabic, and “El Attarine” refers to “perfumers” or “spice sellers.” Here, you may shop as you wish. Then Place de la Kasbah (Historic Tunis Square) and the Zaytuna Mosque are among the places that can be seen. Afterward, we go to Sidi Bou Said, with its blue-and-white houses, narrow streets, and breathtaking views surrounded by the blue waters of the Mediterranean.
