1st Day ISTANBUL – TUNIS – KAIROUAN
Arrival at Istanbul New Airport’s international departures terminal three hours before the flight. After baggage, ticket, and boarding procedures, we begin our Turkish Airlines scheduled flight to Tunis. Upon arrival at Tunis Airport, we proceed to our private coach waiting for us at the airport and set off for our Kairouan tour, one of the sacred heritages of the Islamic world. Here, we will visit the Great Okba Ibn Nefaa Mosque, regarded as the ancestor of all mosques in the Maghreb, the Aghlabid Basins, masterpieces of regional water engineering, and the shrine of Sidi Sahbi, experiencing the spiritual atmosphere of this historic city. After the tour, transfer to the hotel and free time to rest. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.
2nd Day CHEBIKA – TAMERZA – MIDES CANYON – STAR WARS FILM STUDIO – SUNSET IN TOZEUR BY 4X4 JEEPS
After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for an unforgettable adventure by 4x4 jeeps to watch the sunset among endless golden sands, vast oasis landscapes, and mysterious canyons. This journey will allow us to discover that Tozeur is not made up of sand alone, but is also a wonderland containing the most striking contrasts of nature. Our first stop is Chebika, a Desert Oasis where sunlight striking the rocks creates magical reflections. Once a resting point for Roman soldiers, this area is like an oasis paradise in the middle of the desert with its hidden water sources and lush greenery. Here, we will witness the miracles of nature while listening to the soothing sound of water flowing between the rocks. Next, we will arrive at Tamerza, the largest mountain oasis in Tunisia. With its clear waterfalls, steep cliffs, and breathtaking views, Tamerza is one of the enchanting beauties nature offers us. The contrast between the desert’s hot, dry atmosphere and these refreshing water sources makes the region even more captivating. Mides Canyon is truly a work of art patiently crafted by nature! These deep canyons, shaped by wind and water over millions of years, fascinate visitors with their striking curves and majestic appearance. Here, we will have the opportunity to follow the traces of geological time and observe nature’s art shaped over centuries. After our safari tour, we will reach the Star Wars film set, where we step into a science-fiction universe in the middle of the desert. The mystical atmosphere of the Sahara Desert has created a unique world that brought the iconic scenes of the famous film to life. 3rd Day TOZEUR – DOUZ – MATMATA – SFAX
After breakfast at the hotel, we will head to Douz, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.” One of Tunisia’s most impressive natural wonders, Douz is a unique spot where the Sahara’s magic can be felt through endless sand dunes. This is a region where Berber tribes have lived nomadic lives for centuries and where camel caravans have left their marks. Here, while experiencing the deep silence of the desert, we will witness the impressive landscapes formed by endless dunes. In the infinity of the Sahara, we will feel nature’s breathtaking power by watching the unique patterns carved into the sand by the wind. The dunes, with their wind-shaped curves and changing tones depending on the daylight, offer a true natural painting. After bidding farewell to Douz’s mystical atmosphere, we will continue to Matmata, famous for its striking underground homes. In this region, cave dwellings used by the Berber people for thousands of years are an impressive heritage bearing traces of the past. With a simple desert landscape from the outside, Matmata offers a hidden world shaped by structures built around courtyards dug into the ground. This unique architecture was developed to protect against the scorching summer heat and the harsh winter winds. The exotic atmosphere of the region is so captivating that it inspired unforgettable scenes from the Star Wars films. As we walk through this enchanting environment, you will feel as if you are inside a movie scene and have the opportunity to experience traditional Berber culture up close. 4th Day SFAX – EL JEM – MONASTIR – SOUSSE – HAMMAMET
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for El Jem. The amphitheater here is one of the best-preserved Roman ruins in the world. Built in the mid-3rd century AD (230–240 AD), this monumental amphitheater is the largest Roman monument remaining in Africa and ranks third in the Empire after those in Rome and Verona. It is one of the last great amphitheaters built during the Roman period, and its architectural design is an improved version of the Colosseum in Rome. We then continue to Monastir. We will visit the mausoleum of Habib Bourguiba, Tunisia’s first president, who played an important role in the country’s independence process. Standing out with its golden dome and elegant architecture, the Bourguiba Mausoleum is one of the most important buildings bearing witness to the country’s modern history. Here, by examining Bourguiba’s personal belongings and historical documents from the period, we will gain valuable insights into Tunisia’s recent past. Next, our adventure continues with our Sousse tour, where narrow streets, the aromas of local flavors, and the vibrant colors of the market come to life. After our tour and a visit to Port El Kantaoui Marina, transfer to our Hammamet hotel and free time to rest. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.
5th Day CARTHAGE – BARDO MUSEUM – SIDI BOU SAID – HAMMAMET
After breakfast at the hotel, our first stop is the ancient city of Carthage. In this ancient city founded by the Phoenicians and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will follow in the footsteps of the famous Carthaginian commander Hannibal and explore 3,000 years of Roman, Byzantine, and Crusader ruins. Carthage, which contains a series of ancient structures and ruins, reflects its rich history with thermal baths, temples, and fortifications. Our tour then continues with a visit to the Bardo Museum. The museum has a wide collection of artifacts, especially notable for its Roman mosaics. With their intricate designs and vivid colors, each mosaic tells a unique story from Tunisia’s diverse past. We then continue to Tunisia’s historic Medina district. We tour the Tunis Medina, also known as Old Tunis, with its narrow streets and bazaar full of souvenir shops. We will visit the famous Souk El Attarine, a renowned market located in the historic center of Tunisia’s capital, Tunis. “Souk” means “market” or “bazaar” in Arabic, and “El Attarine” refers to “perfumers” or “spice sellers.” Here you may shop as you wish. Then Place de la Kasbah (Historic Tunis Square) and Zitouna Mosque are among the places that can be seen. Afterwards, we head to Sidi Bou Said, surrounded by the blue waters of the Mediterranean, with its blue-and-white houses, narrow streets, and breathtaking views. Known as the Santorini of Tunisia, you will stroll through the charming streets of Sidi Bou Said and take wonderful photos. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. 6th Day HAMMAMET – NABEUL – ISTANBUL
Early in the morning, after checking out of the rooms, we depart for our Nabeul city tour. As we stroll through the mystical streets of Nabeul, the capital of ceramics and pottery, we will see many Tunisia-specific items such as copper goods, leather, embroidery, and cradles. Then, at the time indicated by our guide, transfer to Tunis Airport. After baggage, ticket, and boarding procedures, our Turkish Airlines scheduled flight to Istanbul begins. Following a comfortable and pleasant flight, arrival in Istanbul and end of the tour.
