This unique structure, which has witnessed political intrigues, dynastic struggles, and cultural transformations, makes you feel the magic of the past at every step. The Kremlin gardens, the Grand Kremlin Palace Complex, the Concert Hall, and the surroundings of the Presidential Building contain the most important building blocks of Russian history. The “Space Tree,” erected after Yuri Gagarin’s space journey and shimmering with the lights reflected on the Moscow River, is one of the highlights of our tour. The giant cannon and the bell tower cast by Tsar Ivan, with their impressive story, turn into both informative and enjoyable moments through our guide’s narration. Afterwards, Moscow Metro, considered the most aesthetically decorated metro in the world, amazes guests with its enormous chandeliers, marble columns, mosaics, and stations resembling an art gallery. Then we move on to Novodevichy Cemetery, where Nazim Hikmet’s grave is also located. Founded in 1524, this monastery is like an open-air museum containing major names from Russian cultural and political history such as Chekhov, Gogol, Mayakovsky, Bulgakov, Eisenstein, Khrushchev, Shostakovich, and Yeltsin. Novodevichy, meaning “Young Girls,” accompanies the tragic stories of empress candidates with a poetic melancholy. Arbat Street, our final stop, is Moscow’s most popular art and culture center. Day 4 Moscow – St Petersburg
After waking up at the hotel and having breakfast, we travel to the train station by our private bus. Then, by our comfortable train, we depart for St. Petersburg, considered Russia’s capital of art and culture. Upon arrival in the city, we begin the panoramic St. Petersburg tour, where we will start discovering this unique city that captivates with its elegance, architecture, and history. Founded in 1703 by Tsar Peter I of Russia, St. Petersburg is a city that enchants its guests at first glance with its magnificent buildings, wide avenues, and impressive history. On our panoramic tour, we proceed along Nevsky Prospekt, the city’s most important boulevard, which reflects the very soul of the city with its length of 4.5 kilometers. Named after Alexander Nevsky, one of the most famous heroes of Russian history, this boulevard is the beating heart of St. Petersburg. The architectural masterpieces we encounter along the boulevard reveal the city’s historical richness. First, we see the Admiralty Building, notable for its golden dome, then we admire the elegant structure of the magnificent Kazan Cathedral, built as a smaller replica of the famous St. Peter’s Cathedral in Rome. Throughout our tour, we have the opportunity to see the striking architecture of the Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace, the elegance of the Stroganov Palace, and the impressive structure of Gostiny Dvor, which with its approximately 250-year history was one of the city’s most important commercial points and is now transformed into a modern shopping center. The Russian National Library, one of the most remarkable structures of St. Petersburg’s art-filled atmosphere; the Singer Building, notable for its origin story; the dazzling Eliseyev Building with its magnificent stained glass and bronze details; and Aurora Cinema, frequently mentioned in the memoirs of writer Nabokov, add visual richness to our tour. In addition, the famous Anichkov Bridge, which has become an important part of Russian literature and bears traces of the Siege of Leningrad, offers us glimpses from different periods of history throughout the tour. After this fast and impressive time travel from St. Petersburg’s past to the present, we transfer to our hotel and settle into our rooms. At the end of the tour, our guests who wish can join the Food-inclusive Russian Night Tour, which will be organized as an extra by our guide.(90 EUR) Transfer to the hotel after the tour. The palace, converted into a museum after the Bolshevik Revolution, was skillfully protected during World War II from Nazi invasions targeting artworks. On this tour, where historical summer and winter palaces will be visited, you will enjoy hearing from our guide about the formation process of one of the world’s most impressive museums and its importance in Russian cultural history. After our tour, our next stop is Peter and Paul Fortress. Built first by Tsar Peter I, who founded the city, this fortress has great strategic military importance. The fact that important figures such as Dostoevsky, Trotsky, and Alexander, Lenin’s brother, were once held here gives the fortress a distinct historical significance. The town’s landscape was delicately designed by Dutch and English gardeners and carries traces of different cultures of the world, from a Turkish bath to Chinese bridges.
