Tour Program
Day 1 Ankara – Tirana – Elbasan – Ohrid
Meet at Ankara Esenboğa Airport International Departures Terminal …. After ticket, baggage and passport procedures, we will depart to Tirana at 16:20 on Ajet Airlines’ flight number VF627. Arrival in Tirana at 17:40 local time. After passport, baggage and customs procedures, we will move by our special buses to Ohrid, the pearl of the Balkans, passing through Elbasan. Transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
Dinner: The evening meal will be taken at a location determined by the guide during free time, at an extra cost.

Day 2 Ohrid – Sveti Naum – Matka Canyon – Skopje
After breakfast, we reach the center of Ohrid, a Mediterranean town in the Balkans, for our tour. We start at the Port Square, discussing the statues we will see, and then take a walk in the historical district with the historic Ohrid houses where the scenes of the series Elveda Rumeli were filmed, concluding our tour with a presentation about the famous Ohrid Pearl, the most significant symbol of Ohrid city. After the tour, we will have free time. After free time, we will first reach St. Naum with an approximately 1-hour journey with magnificent views. We will visit the source where Ohrid Lake is born. The incredible scenery here will literally take your breath away. After our visit to Sveti Naum, we will move to the capital Skopje. We will also move towards Matka Canyon, which is known for its unmatched beauty. After our visit to Matka Canyon, we will transfer to our hotel in Skopje. Overnight at our hotel.

Day 3 Skopje – Kosovo (Prizren) – Skopje (Balkan Night)
After breakfast, we will begin our city tour in the capital Skopje. We will start our tour of this city, where two different cultures are separated by the famous Vardar River, with the Macedonian side known as the "Land of Statues," where we will first see the huge statue of Alexander the Great. Then we will cross the Historic Skopje Stone Bridge over the Vardar River to experience how cultures can change instantly, moving to the Skopje Turkish Bazaar which was one of the most qualified bazaars of the Ottoman Empire in the Balkans. We will start our bazaar tour by talking about the statues at the bazaar entrance and visiting the historic Davut Paşa Hammam. We will also see Kapan Han and Murat Paşa Mosque which survived earthquakes and end our tour. After our visits, we will have one hour of free time for shopping at the Turkish Bazaar. Among the things we can buy are Šušak peppers, Ustrumca peanuts, and traditional shoes. After our visits, we will head to Kosovo, one of the youngest countries inhabited mainly by Muslim Albanians, where we will have an emotional day in a land where a human tragedy occurred just recently. First, we will visit the mortal tomb of Murad Hüdavendigar. After our visit and after approximately 100 km of journey, we will arrive in Prizren, considered one of the sweetest cities in the Balkans, located by the Bistrica (Akdere) River. During our panoramic tour in Prizren, we will see the Turkish Bath from the 17th century, Sinan Pasha Mosque built in 1615, and Prizren Fortress. After the tour and free time, we will return to Skopje. Overnight at our hotel.

Day 4 Skopje – Belgrade
After breakfast, we will head to Belgrade. After our journey, we will start the city tour of Belgrade, which is vibrant and lively, at the most elegant street, Knez Mihailova Street. Then we will proceed to Belgrade Fortress, where Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror was injured for the conquest which was destined for Kanuni Sultan Süleyman, one of the supply centers of the Ottoman fleet. In the fortress, we will see the Key Delivery Monument, the French statue, the Istanbul Gate, the Military Museum, the tomb of Damat Ali Pasha, the Sokullu fountain, and the terrace area where we will see the most beautiful view of the meeting point of the Danube and Sava rivers. After the tour, we will have free time. Overnight at our hotel.

Day 5 Belgrade – Sarajevo
After breakfast at our hotel, we will head to Sarajevo. Traveling along the mountainous Balkan roads while enjoying beautiful views, we will first visit Vrelo Bosne, the biggest national park of Sarajevo, which is located at the foot of the Igman Mountain, where the source of the Bosna River is also located, arranged under the command of Tito at the time, and known for its perfect walking trails, horse-drawn carriage rides, and authentic cafes. After our free time there, we will start our city tour. We will have a stroll through Baščaršija, the most renowned bazaar in Europe. We will start our tour with Sebilj Fountain, which has become an emblem of this cultural city, and then we will see the most authentic points of the city like Morica Han. Next, we will visit Hüsrev Bey Mosque, a relative of Kanuni Sultan Süleyman. During our tour, we will also see the Clock Tower, the famous fountain which has become a ritual, and the place of meeting of cultures, which is also where the Eternal Flame monument is located. After visiting, we will have some free time, during which guests can take photos in front of the Latin Bridge, where the outbreak of World War I occurred. After the tour and free time, we will transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.

Day 6 Sarajevo – Konjic – Mostar – Blagaj – Trebinje
After having breakfast in our hotel, we will set off for Mostar, enjoying beautiful views within the ecosystem of the Neretva River. We will make a brief stop in Konjic, which is identified in Evliya Çelebi’s Travel Book as a place where horses rested and drank water. After seeing and photographing the Konjic Bridge built by IV. Mehmet, we continue our journey through Jablanica. On this route, we will have the chance to view the most stunning natural scenes created by the Neretva River. Upon arrival in Mostar, we will walk through the city, and first, we will see the Mostar Bridge, which was built in 1557 by architect Hayreddin and is a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture. The bridge was destroyed by Croatian artillery during the war in 1992, but it was reopened in 2004 with significant contributions from the Republic of Turkey. We will stroll through the old town market. After free time, we will head towards Blagaj, known as the land of the Alperens. After a short journey, we will get off at the parking area in Blagaj and walk to the area where the Alperens Tekke is located, on the banks where the Buna River is born. During our free time here, guests can choose to visit the Tekke or can also take the best photo of the Tekke from outside. After our visits, we will transfer to our hotel. Depending on the density, we will accommodate either in Trebinje or in the surrounding Medjugorje or Blagaj region. Overnight at our hotel.

Day 7 Trebinje – Kotor – Budva – Shkodra
After having breakfast at our hotel, we will cross into one of the world’s youngest countries, Montenegro. Our first stop is Kotor, an important historical and natural paradise and tourist attraction. We will learn about this charming city during our walking tour in Stari Grad (Old Town-Castle), seeing prominent historical structures like the Arsenal Square, Clock Tower, Shame Monument, Government Palace, Guardian Tower, St. Tryphon Cathedral and Square, Kalambaka (Tulumba) Square, and St. Luke's and Nicholas Churches. After this tour, we will have some free time. After our free time, we will pass through Budva, travelling to a once fishing village that was appropriated and later sold to a multimillionaire from Singapore, undergoing restoration work to deliver it to tourism and will have a panoramic view of the magnificent St Stefan and Budva from above. After this view, we will continue our journey towards the city of Shkodra in Albania. Transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.

Day 8 Shkodra - Tirana – Ankara
After having breakfast at our hotel, we will move to the capital Tirana. After having been caught between wars for most of the 20th century and having lived under the dictatorship of Enver Hoxha for 40 years, this mountainous country of the Balkans will be the subject of a panoramic tour to learn about this beautiful city, which was established in 1614 by Süleyman Pasha and became the capital of Albania in 1920. During our tour, we will see places like Skanderbeg Square, Ethem Bey Mosque, Historical Clock Tower, National History Museum, and Opera House. Other places we will see from the bus are the Parliament and Prime Minister's Offices, Presidential Palace, Mother Teresa Square, and Tirana Pyramid. After our tour of Tirana, we will have free time until the flight hour. Transfer to Tirana Airport. After ticket, baggage, and passport procedures, we will depart for Ankara at 18:30 on Ajet Airlines flight number VF628 and arrive in Ankara at 21:40. We hope to see you on your next trip...
